Updated September 23, 2024 by Marc Santos: Farming Energy Links remains as important as ever in Once Human, especially for players who want to get those Starchrom Crates at the end of every scenario. While the methods listed in this guide still work, we've added a few more to help players who need to get more Energy Links as quickly as possible. This guide has been updated to include a section covering the best items to sell in the game to make Energy Links a problem of the past.
This town is quite large. You can find multiple regular storage crates within the different structures in town. The most notable loot is the mysterious red loot crate that you can find one of in each settlement. The mysterious loot crate, or "mysterious treasure", is directly inside the Panorama building and contains ten fragments of the Blast Suit blueprint .
When the player's Sanity falls too low, their max health will be reduced . This makes them much more susceptible to enemy attacks, making Sanity arguably one of the most important things for players to pay attention to. Aside from simply reducing the player's max health, a low Sanity level can also give players a series of buffs and debuffs known as Whims.
It also states that it will only collect "information such as social media account usernames, names, and address in user surveys that users voluntarily participate in" and that players can "provide as much or as little information from Oncehumanworld in these user surveys if they choose to respond to the survey at a
Sanity can also be depleted by consuming raw meat, spoiled food, or dirty water . To avoid taking a loss in Sanity points, it is imperative that players avoid consuming such items, instead focusing on consuming cooked meat and boiled water.
Players can unlock the recipe for Sanity Gummies by spending their Meme Points on Electric Stoves under the Logistics tab in the Memetics Menu. A Sanity Gummy can then be crafted via a Stove or Electric Stove with 1 Boiled Water, 1 Sugar, and 4 Logs. Once consumed, a Sanity Gummy will restore 500 Sanity points .
All weapon types and tiers will require different materials to craft. The most common way to obtain materials to craft a gun is by exploring and looting scraps in monster-infested structures found throughout the world . Scraps are random things such as cups, pistons, old gun parts, and any other thing that can be picked up while exploring. While scraps are found randomly, many are found in Storage Chests and Trash Cans. Players will also need to get the Disassembly Techniques upgrade from the Infrastructure Memetic upgrade tree to build the Disassembly Bench .
Crafting and selling equipment is the easiest way to earn Energy Links. However, this method is very expensive, especially in the early game where players don't have many resources to work with. Although, if you find a nice spot full of Iron in Once Human , you can start making and selling iron-tier items for a decent profit. You don't necessarily need to use Iron — if you find a good place for farming Tin and Copper, you can craft Bronze Pickaxes and sell them to NPC vendors for a good chunk of Energy Links in the early game.
Additionally, you can try trading Weapon Calibration Blueprints with other players. The most valuable ones can go for up to hundreds of thousands of Energy Links. You can get these blueprints by farming Securement Silos or bosses and dismantling any weapons you get.
Once Human gives players two main weapon slots along with a melee weapon. During the tutorial, players will be given the Crossbow, which will act as their first ranged weapon that fires arrows that can be picked up and endlessly used as long as they are retrieved.
The Weapon Crate is the easiest to spot in Overlook Town. It sits ominously in the center of a small stadium in with a broken screen. If you walk too close to the broken screen, a mini-boss fight will ensue against a giant deviant.
When in the Gear Workbench menu, players can select which gun type and tier they want to craft. Along the bottom of the weapons, menu will be the various parts that need to be crafted to make that weapon. You'll need enough materials to make all three parts at once , as one part can't be made and set aside, all three parts will need to be crafted at the same time, making the gun in the process. While guns are useful tools, players should first secure a steady source of food and water .

Energy Links are Once Human's most basic form of currency. If you want to stay ahead of everyone else, then you'll need tons of these so you can get an advantage when it comes to gear and perks. Energy Links are pretty easy to get, but if you need them in bulk, you'll start running into problems.
