In celebration of the imminent launch, a trailer was released on the official PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds YouTube channel. Although billed as a trailer, the video plays more like a short film, with Vogt-Roberts' big screen sensibilities shining through. The video stars Nick Robinson and Jason Mitchell, who previously worked with Vogt-Roberts on Kings of Summer and Kong: Skull Island , respectively. After parachuting into a real-world version of the game's environment, Mitchell is beset by numerous gun-toting threats with only a frying pan (and some perfectly punctual allies) for protection. Screen Rant spoke previously with Vogt-Roberts, at San Diego Comic-Con, regarding his inspirations for Metal Gear Solid . He also shared his thoughts on video game adaptations in general. Believing that movies have a tendency to absorb elements from games, Vogt-Roberts opposes the view that there are no decent video-game films. Citing Snowpiercer and Edge of Tomorrow as examples, he believes that such adaptations work best when not directly adapting t

Meanwhile, Greene's new projects sound equally exciting: he's been clear that the Special Division isn't " doing this for profit " just yet, and that there's more exploration at play to begin with. The division will also be given several years to work out what it's aim is, without need for deadlines or profit margins to start. Whatever Greene decides to pursue, he'll be able to do it without restrict
On top of the new scenery, terrain, and building styles, Erangel has been vitally reworked on the inside, too, a much more appealing prospect for veteran PUBG players. The developer has made fully-researched changes to loot, from drop rates to design, to make sure the map plays out in a more modern way. PUBG strategy|https://pubgfrontierzone.Com/ Corp is also tinkering with how the Blue Zone constricts players in an effort to better reflect what the company has described as " emerging playstyles and tactics ," though essentially that just refers to the game's competitive meta. The changes will be made on a test server first, and PUBG streamers will predominately occupy those games, both to advertise the changes and get valuable feedback. Patch 30 brings an enormous change to the game with the addition of ledge grabbing. According to the official patch notes on the PUBG website, players will be able to grab onto the edge of most obstacles that are up to 2.5 meters high. The change will allow smoother movement as players will be able to leap from obstacle to obstacle without ever touching the ground. It will even allow players to climb onto roofs, opening up areas that were previously inaccessible. This is the first of two planned updates dealing with the ledge grab. The current update doesn’t allow players to grab onto or slide down railings, which the developers say will be added in the second update. The developers also note that they’re looking for feedback from players to improve the new feat
Overall, Patch 30 adds plenty of content to keep players interested. While it’s likely nothing that would sway new players to finally try the game out, it may be enough to bring back lapsed players who previously found the game’s relative lack of mobility annoying. It’s also interesting to see PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds _ presumably taking cues from newer Battle Royales , with the addition of Radio Messages that seem clearly inspired by _Apex Legends ’ widely praised pinging sys
That belief can be seen not only in Metal Gear Solid concept art but this new short film-style trailer. Nothing seen in the trailer can actually be executed in the game, after all. Well, except wiping out your opponents, that is. Instead, the trailer retains the general themes and concepts represented in the game. It also emphasizes the epic, tense, and amusing scenarios that can arise in the game - all of which serve to make the genre so addictive. With a big screen Resident Evil reboot coming, Hollywood isn't giving up on mining material from games. Thankfully, Vogt-Roberts is helping to pave the way and show them how it's d
In addition to bringing parkour into PUBG , Patch 30 also introduces a new vehicle, the BRDM-2, which can travel through water, though at a greatly reduced speed. The BRDM-2 is an armored vehicle that can only be found by calling it in with a flare gun, and it replaces the UAZ that used to be called in the same way. It’s a much hardier vehicle than the UAZ, able to withstand twice the amount of damage and equipped with unbreakable wheels. That makes it an excellent transport vehicle, but to balance it out, players can’t fire weapons while onbo
